What Is Tapping? Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique is an offshoot of acupressure (needleless acupuncture). It was developed as an adjunct therapeutic tool and has spread around the world, with decades as a documented change agent. Why Are We Tapping? Surrogate tapping, that is, tapping on behalf of another person or circumstance, has its roots in ancient long distance healing techniques, such as Reiki and prayer work. By acting as a surrogate for the rainforests, we not only free ourselves from whatever emotional blocks we have to living in harmony with Nature, but we also contribute to opening up possible solutions for this critical challenge. We are committed to tapping for the rainforests on a daily basis and to sharing this transforming change agent with as many people as we can possibly reach. Why Now? The United Nations is holding its Climate Summit beginning on December 7, 2009. Reports worldwide consider this summit to be the fork in the road for mankind. We are beginning this project in order to have a positive impact on the Copehagen Climate Summit. The Story of Tapping for the Rainforests We have been following posts on Facebook by the Prince’s Rainforest Project and were touched by the RainforestSOS campaign. In this campaign HRH Prince Charles, celebrities, politicians, environmentalists, and authors from all over the world share, on video, their hope for the future — the healing of the rainforests — on the advent of the Copehagen Climate Conference. On the RainforestSOS website, the importance of the rainforests is outlined:
On October 19, 2009, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown “warned that the world is on the brink of a ‘catastrophic’ future of killer heatwaves, floods and droughts unless governments speed up negotiations on climate change before vital talks in Copenhagen in December.” He also stated that “there are now fewer than 50 days to set the course for the next 50 years.” It could very well be that everyone’s future, that the future of generations who follow, hangs in the balance. But, what can one person do? How can one person make a difference on such a complex issue? If we could come together as one people, no matter where we were located, and do one thing that had the potential to change everyone’s relationship with the rainforests and open up numerous possible solutions to the problems facing the Copenhagen Climate Conference in early December, what would that be? We took these questions into deep prayer and meditation, as individuals, and were led to come together to create an innovative change agent that combines acupressure (needleless acupuncture), an ancient healing technique with a five thousand year old proven track record, and modern video technology. The product of this marriage is the video below, Tapping for the Rainforests. What You Can Do We are asking everyone who sees this video on Youtube or comes to this site to download the video and commit to spending 8 minutes every day doing the routine Brad Yates, the EFT Wizard, developed on the topic of healing our relationship with the rainforests. For those of you who are inspired, please feel free to share your insights, feelings, and thoughts here in the comments section of this post. We will be compiling these comments in a bi-weekly newsletter, which you can sign up for by filling in your name and email address in the box on the right. We will also be blogging here on a daily basis, sharing information and tips on how you can positively impact the environment. So, please feel free to visit every day and share what you are doing to create ecological balance in your life. Finally, share this website and our Youtube video with as many people as you can reach. The more people we have tapping, the more effective this solution will be. One Person Can Make a Difference The rainforests are calling. Our children are calling. Mother Earth is calling. Will you heed the call? |

I’m excited to be finally posting online after all these years. There really is no mystique (sp) about it, is there? I just dropped by your blog and had to write something. I’m a recent college grad, journalism major if you must know, and I absolutely love the art of photography. I’ve got my site up but it’s nothing to brag about yet. None of my stuff’s been posted. Soon as I figure out how to do that, I’ll spend the afternoon posting my best shots. anyhow just thought I’d drop a line. I hope to return with more substantial stuff, stuff you can actually use. SPG
