The rainforests are valuable for so many reasons. They are home to many species of plants and animals found nowhere else on Earth. In fact, one of my Elders calls the rainforests, “Nature’s Pharmacy.” Please take a moment to watch this great National Geographic Video clip which tells the story of a Paraguayan shaman who is helping scientists to preserve the natural medicines found in the rainforests of Paraguay!
