I am totally blown away by he work of biologist Willie Smits in Bornea. He was intimately involved with the dwindling orangutan population in Borneo. By thinking outside of the box and creating joint ventures which benefited the native people, he was able to regrow the rainforests, improve the climate significantly, provide a stable economy for the native people, and restore the organgutans to the rainforest. You have got to watch this entire video — it’s so inspiring. |
